Asianos introduced their new kit after a successful launch in August 2008. The new red and black strip for the first team was marked by a well rewarded Strassberg 2008 trophy for the second consecutive year. Manager Zahir Ahmed and captain Adnan ali were delighted by this achievement and praised the whole team. |

Strassberg summer 2008 tournament - Venue: Low Hall |

With the season near and the World Cup 2008 regional tournament just a few weeks away, the Strassberg Cup was an opportunity for the champions to evaluate their match fitness and the management to exploit new players and strategies. The holders were defending their title from last summer and with a near full squad were more stronger then the preceding year, the midfield and defence were on form while Zahir Ahmed was impressed by keeper Saiful and midfielder Ijaz for their contributions. Asianos started the day off with an unconventional defeat in their first group game despite missing several chances, however the teams dedication and enthusiasm led the way to victory by ensuring the Cup remains theirs for at least another year.

The pundit looks at why the current Asianos squad will bring endurance, speed and plenty of experience for the coming season. You never know when a player will be missing from a starting line-up, and once the season is underway, there is nothing you can do, except rely on the team you currently have.
