Asianos played in mixed patches in the first
half with some good individual play from Titch and Sid. Amer was
replaced by Sid with a strong challenge that left him with a
very swollen ankle. Sid working the oppositins left back on
numerous occasions and creating many chances with his precise
deliveries into the box. Zubair Haleem supplied the perfect pass
across the face of the goal for Zaki Iqbal to tap in Asianos
opener 1-0 (25MINS). Titch (Yaseen Patel) had a few one on one
that failed to prosper, with the oppposition keeper pulling off
some very good saves. Asianos went in at half time a goal up.
Asianos had the game under control for most of the first 20mins
of the second half. Again many chances were being missed by the
forwards and wingers. Barking Tigers started to up their game
and a few balls over the Asianos defendence created problems.
Another ball over the top and a mix up in defence allowed the
Tigers to head into an empty net 1-1 (75mins). Asianos created
another golden chance with just the keeper to beat only for Sid
to hit it wide. 83rd minute, Titch runs down the left flank hits
a fierce low drive that finally beats the superb Barking Tigers
keeper.
Barking Tigers were now playing with nearly 4 up front and
lumping it long to create more havoc in the haphazard Asianos
defence. The team held well until the final whistle and won the
game 2 -1.
