08:.....Zubair Haleem receives player
of the year award.. |

Super star zubidinhio received
both AFL player of the year and golden boot award for all his
accomplishments this season. His goal tally of 25 was well
rewarded with this award and it was quiet inevitable the AFL
player of the season went to him too. Zubair Haleem first came
up the ranks from the academy and is now one of the most feared
forwards throughout the region. His name embraces a hierarchical
structure of achievements at such a young age. However if it
wasn't for his close counterparts and the experience within this
young squad, Zoobs would not have been the player he is today.
But never the less, the entire Asianos squad have provided their
contributions and support to Zoobs and many more youngsters, and
will continue to do so with many more years to come. These
awards are just a taste of the new challenges next season and

08: .....AFL Presentation Awards
Evening 2008..... |

The AFL presentation evening will take place on
Monday 19 May 2008 @ Chingford Assembly Hall, Station
Road, Chingford E4 Doors open at 7pm
and the presentations will commence at 7.30pm PROMPT.
 Clubs who paid for their tickets will receive 16 tickets
in the post in due course -
Please advise what address you wish your tickets to be sent to.
Any additional persons wishing to attend will be charged £2 on
the door.
The dress code for the evening will be no tracksuits or
sportswear but smart.
Please note that any individual awards will only be issued to
the individuals nominated and not for stand ins!

08:..Football Director Azhar Ali set
to leave Asianos.... |
| Asianos football director and core
founder Azhar Ali is set to leave the club on the
22nd of May after confirmed reports. During a meeting
which commenced on Monday 5th May, the
announcement shortly followed to his close counter parts
and subsequently team members. This will be a huge blow
to the entire Asianos football club and the squad made
no hesitations in providing their appreciation and
regards to the notorious legend who will be missed by
all.

tournament in the Turkish sides of Cyprus during some time in July, this
will no doubt create unity and diversity amongst the team in
preparations for a new challenge next season.

League champions Asianos were invited to compete in this
years prestigious UK Asian Community Cup. With back to
back titles and currently on road to set a new
historical unbeaten record in the league, the champions
were selected with 16 of the countries most privileged
teams in UK..... . |

Asianos set a new AFL league
record by remaining unbeaten this entire season, with 19 wins
and one unlucky draw, the current champions sealed back to back
titles as manager Zahir Ahmed praised the squad for all their
efforts and contributions this season.

region entered the London Apsa 2008 tournament. Asianos entered
two teams and both came head to head in the semi finals.
